Deal | US$400 off Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra in Best Buy Black Friday deal
Last year’s 128 GB flagship Samsung tablet is only US$699.99 in a Best Buy Black Friday sale offering US$400 off. The 14.6-inch Android tablet comes with Samsung’s class-leading S Pen and features a bright ~3K, 120 Hz AMOLED panel for crisp video or productivity use. Samsung also guarantees software support until 2027.
One of the only downsides to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra (see our detailed review for test data) is its price. Even a year after its launch, Samsung’s ultra-premium iPad killer continues to sell for over $1,000. Best Buy is currently running a Black Friday sale on the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, dropping the price by US$400 for the entry-level model, with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, and the mid-range model with 256 GB of storage and 12 GB of RAM.
The flagship feature of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has to be its huge 14.6-inch, 2960×1848, 120Hz Super AMOLED display. Not only is it bright, reaching over 600 nits in our tests, but it’s also color faithful and provides excellent coverage of the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces.
Performance is also what you’d expect from a flagship, even if it’s last year’s flagship, thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 built into the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Despite its incredibly thin 5.5mm case, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra performs admirably in benchmarks, although it does speed up slightly after repeated, graphics-intensive tests.
Another notable feature of the Tab S8 Ultra is the included S Pen which offers 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. Aside from multitasking support and Samsung’s DeX desktop environment, the Tab S8 Ultra can realistically serve as a lightweight replacement for a laptop, provided your work doesn’t involve anything Windows-exclusive.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra (Wi-Fi version) is reduced at Best Buy to US$699.99 for the 128GB version with 8GB RAM and US$799.99 for the 256GB version with 12GB RAM .
